DENGUE

Dengue is a viral infection transmitted through the bite of a female from Aedes aegypti. This mosquito lives in tropical and subtropical areas around the world and uses clean, still water to carry out its reproduction cycle.

The virus is classified into 4 different variations: DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4. If a person has already been infected by one of them, he develops immunity and can only be infected by another variation of the virus.

THE TYPES AND SYMPTOMS OF DENGUE

Most dengue symptoms are common to all types of diseases. They appear suddenly between 3 and 15 days after the bite.
